Outline of Research at the Start

妊婦がサイトメガロウイルス（Cytomegalovirus, CMV）に初感染すると、胎児は高率に先天性CMV感染に至る。CMVが経胎盤感染を起こすことは旧知ながらも、胎内感染の詳細メカニズムは不明である。胎盤環境に依存したウイルスの増殖と運搬機構を解明し、経胎盤感染の詳細を明らかにする。
