Outline of Research at the Start	11p13欠失によるWAGR症候群は無虹彩症によって乳児期早期に診断が付き、幼児期に多くがWilms腫瘍を発症することで知られている。しかし、生命予後はその後発症する腎不全に左右される。WAGR症候群の診断から腎不全を発症するまで十分な時間的猶予があるにも関わらず、予防法がないため無為に経過観察するしか方法がないのが現状である。そこで本研究では、WT1のハプロ不全によって引き起こされる腎不全の治療ターゲット分子を同定し、治療法開発のためのシーズを発掘し、治療効果判定に生かすことができるバイオマーカーを見出す。
