Outline of Research at the Start	先天性サイトメガロウイルス感染症に対するバルガンシクロビル治療では血球減少などの副作用で治療の中断や変更を余儀なくされる場合がある。特に、Nudix hydrolase 15 (NUDT15) 遺伝子にR139C変異を有すると薬剤の効果が強く作用することが知られている。申請者らは、CMV感染症治療を行う小児患者に対しこのR139変異の有無を調べ、標準薬剤量使用下での副作用の発現率、抗ウイルス効果、薬剤血中濃度を解析し、この遺伝子変異をもつ人への至適なガンシクロビル投与量を検討し、より副作用の少ない安全な治療 (オーダーメイド治療) を提案できるよう基礎データを作成する。
