Outline of Research at the Start	炎症性腸疾患（IBD）は慢性炎症だけでなく発がんなど克服すべき課題が多いが、その分子機構は未だ不明です。申請者らはヒト腸管上皮細胞オルガノイドを用いた長期炎症刺激によるIBD上皮モデルの構築に成功しています。モデル解析によりSLFN11発現上昇を発見しIBD患者でも発現上昇することを世界で初めて報告しました。そこで慢性炎症過程でのSLFN11発現上昇が発がんに密接に関与するのでは考え、SLFN11の炎症発がん機構を明らかとすることを目的としています。
