C型ナトリウム利尿ペプチド（CNP）は、ANPやBNPとは異なり心臓の線維芽細胞で産生されるが、血中濃度が極めて低く4種の分子型で存在することも重なり、大半の研究で正確な濃度測定ができておらず、診断意義も不明である。
CNP-53の超高感度測定法をほぼ開発できたので、CNPの異なる内在分子型であるproCNP、NT-proCNPの超高感度測定法も開発する。心機能障害、心筋線維化を有する心不全症例の各分子型濃度を測定し、臨床情報との比較解析より、CNP分子型の濃度や比率の診断意義を明らかにする。心不全と心線維化の診断におけるCNP分子型濃度測定の優位点を、ANPやBNPとの比較より提示する。
