Outline of Research at the Start

MSCは様々な疾患に対する治療効果が示されている。当研究室では、MSCが動物モデルにおいて腎炎を改善させることを示してきた。しかし、MSCの課題も浮き彫りになってきた。本課題では、iPS細胞から分化誘導したMSCを腎疾患に対して投与し、治療効果が安定して高いことを確認し、MSCの欠点を克服できていることを裏付ける。さらに治療効果を高める操作を加え、これまでのMSCよりも、腎炎に対して格段に高い治療効果を得る。さらにその優れた治療効果が大動物でも認められることを検証する。
