Outline of Research at the Start	造血幹細胞は一生涯にわたって血液の恒常性を維持する細胞である。造血幹細胞は骨髄内の「ニッチ」と呼ばれる微小環境の中で未分化性および静止期性を維持している。間葉系細胞と造血幹細胞の共培養で超長期の体外造血幹細胞の維持が可能になったことから、間葉系細胞の役割に焦点を当て、造血幹細胞が骨髄で未分化かつ静止期を維持する必須間葉系細胞由来因子の解明を目指す。
