Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、これまで申請者らが得たMASP-1単独欠損MRL/lprマウスにおける腎機能障害の発症遅延と生存期間の延長という予備実験結果を基に、その結果がレクチン経路の活性化能の消失によりもたらされたことを明らかにするために、レクチン経路の補体因子MASP-2欠損MRL/lprマウスを作製して、MASP-1、MASP-2の単独欠損または二重欠損MRL/lprマウスでの病態解析を行う。本研究により、ループス腎炎においてMASP-1、MASP-2、レクチン経路を標的とした新たな治療戦略の有効性が提示される。
