Outline of Research at the Start	申請者らは，ヒトT細胞白血病ウイルス１型（HTLV-1）感染は，関節リウマチ（RA）の病態を修飾し，炎症病態の悪化やTNF阻害療法に治療抵抗性を示す要因になる可能性を報告してきた．しかし，その詳細なメカニズムは未だ不明である．本申請では，HTLV-1陽性RA末梢血に増加しているPD-1陽性CD8 T細胞に着目し，同細胞のRA炎症病態における役割や機能を解析し， HTLV-1陽性RAにおいても臨床的寛解を目指せるプレシジョンメディシンを確立したい．
