Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、申請者らが世界に先駆けて提唱した糖尿病の最重症型「劇症1型糖尿病」の成因の一部を明らかにするとともに、新しい治療法開発の礎を築くことをめざす。
本研究ではインスリンとともにプレプロインスリンより産生されるプロインスリンに着目し、ヒトおよびモデルマウスにおいて、劇症1型糖尿病発症時における経時的な変化を明らかにし、その臨床的意義、特に治療的意義を明らかにする。
