Outline of Research at the Start	ペプチドホルモンや神経ペプチドとして機能する生理活性ペプチドは、細胞間の情報伝達を担う主要な分子の１つであり、生体の制御及び恒常性維持において重要な役割を果たしている。したがって、新しい生理活性ペプチドの同定とその作用機序を含めた機能解明により、未だ知られていない生体制御機構を新たに提唱することができる。本研究では、心臓線維芽細胞の培養上清から同定した新規な分泌性ペプチドの機能解析を試みるとともに、これまでに同定した強力なプロラクチン分泌促進活性を持つ生理活性ペプチドについて受容体を含めた作用機序と機能を明らかにすることにより、これらが関与する新しい生体制御機構の解明を目指す。
