Outline of Research at the Start

非アルコール性脂肪性肝炎（以下NASH）は内臓脂肪型肥満、2型糖尿病を背景に発症、増悪する。現在も肝癌の主要な原因である一方、未だ確立された治療法がない。オキシトシン（OXT）は糖代謝、摂食、抗炎症、心理面への多様な効果から、代謝疾患への治療応用が期待されるが、その内因性OXTシグナルの代謝疾患病態形成における重要性は全く未解明である。本研究は、代表的な代謝疾患であるNASH治療へのOXTの応用を見据え、NASH病態における内因性OXTシグナルの寄与解明を目指す。
