肝内胆管癌は代表的な難治癌の1つであり、手術療法や薬物療法が発達した現在においてもその治療成績はっ満足できるものではない。
肝内胆管癌はその病理学的特徴によりSmall duct型とLarge duct型に分類される。これら分類における特徴の差異は十分に解明されていなかったが、当グループではこれまでの研究で両者の臨床病理学的特徴を明らかにした。これら研究結果をもとに、遺伝子解析を含むより詳細な検討を行うことで、肝内胆管癌に対するより有効な個別化治療戦略樹立を目指す研究である。
