Outline of Research at the Start

肺移植は間質性肺疾患等の慢性進行性肺疾患に対する根治的治療方法として確立している。しかし、その予後は他臓器の移植に比べて不良である。その要因は慢性移植肺機能不全（CLAD）であるが、病態が複雑なため、機序が不明であり、治療法は確立していない。そこで申請者は、CLADでは感染や拒絶反応等の様々な契機で発症するものの、最終的には肺の線維化により呼吸不全に至ることに着眼し、本研究では移植後の線維化を抑制する治療法の開発を目指す。
