Outline of Research at the Start

骨格筋量の減少に伴うサルコペニアは、肺癌を含む様々な癌種の予後不良因子として知られるようになってきた。本研究では、サルコペニアによるmyokineやadipokineの産生抑制、酸化ストレスおよび炎症の誘発、そしてそれらに伴う免疫抑制のメカニズムを探索する。また、臨床応用が期待されている関連バイオマーカー、酸化ストレスからの細胞保護と関連するHO-1、免疫寛容に関わるTregの発現を検証し、サルコペニア合併肺癌に関する炎症・免疫制御機構の解明と、これに基づく新規治療法の開発を目指す。
