Outline of Research at the Start

急性一酸化炭素中毒には、頭痛、意識障害などの初期症状が回復したのち、数週間の期間を経て記憶障害や失見当識、失禁、歩行障害などの症状を呈する遅発性脳症を認めることがある。しかし、その発症因子は不明であり治療法も確立していない。一方近年、酸化ストレスによって増加する最終糖化産物が様々な疾患に関連しているという報告がなされている。そこで今回、最終糖化産物の体内蓄積量を非侵襲的に測定できる機器を用いて、最終糖化産物の推移と遅発性脳症発症との関連を解析する。
