急性呼吸窮迫症候群(Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome: ARDS)は、致死的な臨床経過を呈し、救急集中治療診療において最も治療に難渋する代表的な疾患である。しかし、”未だにこの病態異質性は十分に理解されていない”。そこで、応募者らは、先行研究としてCOVID-19によるARDS患者の臨床データと共に肺胞洗浄液細胞のトランスクリプトーム解析を行った。本研究では、この結果に基づいて、末梢血タンパクのプロテオーム解析により異質な病態を反映する生物学的マーカーを同定し、ARDSにおける病態の本質をとらえることで個別化治療の基盤構築を目指す。
