Outline of Research at the Start

近年の脳血管障害や心停止患者の救命率は飛躍的に向上したものの、蘇生後脳症など重度の後遺症を呈する患者も多い。このような患者に対して、脳低温療法をはじめ正中神経刺激療法なども試みられているが、いまだ治療として完全に確立されたものはない。一方、鍼刺激は脳血流の増加や急性期脳梗塞層の減少が得られるなど、鍼刺激が中枢神経系に影響を与えることが確認されているが、本邦において蘇生後脳症をはじめとする意識障害に対して鍼治療を試みた報告はほとんどない。本研究の目的は集中治療室に入室した意識障害を呈する患者に鍼治療を施行してその有用性について調査を行い、意識障害に対する新たな治療エビデンスを創出することである。
