Outline of Research at the Start

「てんかん」は国内有病率約0.8％の疾患であり、患者のうち30％は薬剤難治性に経過て運転免や就労の制限を受け、また高齢者における発病と認知症合併といった社会問題がじている。本疾患の病態解明、特に持続性異常状態から突発的に発作を昌実スイッチをあきらかにすることが本術研究の目的である。この目的を達成するため、申請者自身が経験豊富な病理学的基礎研究手法と、臨床的手法つまり慢性硬膜下電極や深部電極留置による焦点診断およびてんかん波解析、さらに解剖学的機能的異常回路診断を行い、その総合結果から研究を進める。
