Outline of Research at the Start	癌性髄膜炎はあらゆる癌種で起こりうる病態であり、脳や脊髄のある空洞の中に癌細胞が広く散らばることにより、頭痛、嘔気嘔吐、意識障害、脳神経症状などを引き起こす状態を指す。現時点では有効な治療方法はなく、発症から週から月単位で命に関わることも多い。本研究では、これまで研究代表者らが報告してきた癌性髄膜炎に対する幹細胞治療の有効性を、さらなる実験を通して検証し、臨床試験への橋渡しをすることを目的としている。具体的には、アポトーシス誘導タンパク質、免疫刺激因子、免疫チェックポイントに対する抗体、腫瘍溶解性ウイルスなどを搭載した幹細胞を駆使し、癌性髄膜炎に対する新しい治療方法を構築することを目指す。
