Outline of Research at the Start

これまで、我々はヒト膠芽腫組織の詳細な解析から腫瘍幹細胞が育まれ潜む微小環境として‘壊死周囲ニッチ’を特定し、‘壊死周囲ニッチ’における腫瘍幹細胞誘導因子の候補としてNFATc4を特定した。本研究では、これまでのヒト膠芽腫組織と平面（２次元）細胞培養系での解析で得た成果を、スフェロイド（３次元）細胞培養系と動物脳への移植系に展開し、‘壊死周囲ニッチ’環境の攪乱に基づく、膠芽腫細胞の遺伝子解析結果に依存しない汎用性の高い治療法確立、そして膠芽腫の根治を目指す。
