Outline of Research at the Start	免疫療法は、現在のがん治療における大きな治療の柱であるが、その奏効率は非常に低く、多くの患者はその恩恵を受けることは出来ない。またBNCT（ホウ素中性子捕捉療法）は、がんに集まりやすいホウ素薬剤を投与した後に、癌の部位に中性子照射を行い、ホウ素のお薬と中性子の力で、癌細胞を治療する化学放射線治療法である。免疫療法は、悪性脳腫瘍に効果が無いことが報告されているが、BNCTの組み合わせにより新たな治療効果が期待される。ホウ素中性子免疫療法という新たな治療法により、難治性の悪性脳腫瘍の前臨床試験に挑戦する。
