Outline of Research at the Start

ラットの骨粗鬆症性椎体骨折モデルの骨欠損部が骨補填材により骨再生する過程でマクロファージ由来の多核巨細胞が関与している可能性があり，本研究では，骨粗鬆症椎体骨欠損におけるM2マクロファージの骨芽細胞誘導能に注目して骨修復促進の機序を詳細に解析する．加えて，骨修復促進の機序における干渉手段を探索し，骨粗鬆症性椎体骨折に対するM2マクロファージの骨芽細胞誘導能を応用した安全かつ有用な新しい骨癒合法開発の基盤を確立する．
