Outline of Research at the Start	結合組織脆弱性を特徴とする遺伝性結合組織疾患に伴う脊柱変形は高度に進行し、日常生活動作が困難になるほど症状が悪化することがある。早期に診断することができれば治療が容易になるが、その方法は確立されていない。遺伝性結合組織疾患は結合組織の生成や構造の異常が原因と考えられているが、脊柱変形の発症機序や増悪因子は未解明である。研究代表者は、遺伝性組織疾患の一病型である筋拘縮型エーラス・ダンロス症候群患者の脊柱変形の特徴を明らかにしたが、骨組織の解析によってもその発症機序を明らかにすることはできなかった。本研究では、筋骨格に着目して筋拘縮型エーラス・ダンロス症候群患者の脊柱変形の発症機序の解明を目指す。
