Outline of Research at the Start	骨粗鬆症による骨折は、現代社会の重大な問題である。骨強度には骨密度だけでなく「骨質」が重要と考えられている。高解像度末梢骨用定量的CT（High Resolution peripheral Quantitative CT：HR-pQCT）は、骨質の因子である「骨微細構造」の評価を臨床医療において初めて可能とした新規医療機器である。本研究は、HR-pQCTを用いて日本人の骨微細構造を網羅的に調査し、日本人において骨粗鬆症はどのように発症、進行するのか解明を目指す。
