Outline of Research at the Start

変形性関節症(OA)は、慢性疼痛のため患者のQOLを著しく損なう。この血管新生の因子としてTNF(tumor necrosis factor)-α等の炎症性サイトカインが知られるが、それが関与する血管新生の詳しい機序は解明されていない。申請者らは、肝由来の血漿蛋白質Histidine-Rich Glycoprotein (HRG)は生体内恒常性維持を担い、炎症反応に伴う血管組織傷害 への保護効果や過剰な血管新生の抑制効果を示すことを報告してきた。本研究では、OAの慢性疼痛への鎮痛治療薬候補としてのHRGの血管新生抑制効果及び疼痛抑制効果を検討する。
