Outline of Research at the Start

低活動膀胱(Underactive Bladder: UAB)は膀胱の収縮力が低下し、効率よく尿を排出できな
い症候群であり有効な治療法はない。虚血に伴うUABの初期には排尿筋が過度に収縮する過活動膀胱となり、膀胱への虚血や負荷が続くとUABに至る、これは慢性心不全の初期に心筋が代償的に変化して収縮が亢進し、やがて心筋の収縮力が低下する過程と同様である。慢性心不全においてSGLT2阻害薬は心機能を改善し心血管イベントを低下させる効果があるが、UABにおいてもSGLT2阻害薬による病態の抑制とUABの治療効果が期待できる。本研究ではUABの病態を明らかにし、SGTT2阻害薬の治療効果を検証する。
