Outline of Research at the Start

申請者らがこれまでにin vitroで作製に成功しているヒトiPS細胞由来Leydig様細胞は、もともとLOH症候群に対する同種細胞移植を目標として創られた。しかし、質の高いLeydig様細胞を安定して大量に作製できるようになったことで、LOH症候群の原因であるLeydig細胞の老化を食い止める研究にも応用できると考えた。Leydig細胞の機能を高める物質を同定し、LOH症候群に対する新たな治療法の創出へ繋げることが、本症候群の治療開発における本研究の位置づけである。
