Outline of Research at the Start

進行膀胱尿路上皮癌では、近年、様々な薬剤が使用可能となったが、治療効果と対象は限定的で、新規治療ターゲットの創出はunmet needsである。Poliovirus receptor (PVR)は細胞接着・分化に関与する一方、免疫チェックポイントの一つであるTIGIT-PVRを形成するユニークなタンパク質である。現在、がん免疫療法領域においてTIGIT-PVRが有望な治療標的として注目されているが、細胞接着とは独立して解析されている。本研究では、両者のクロストークの可能性を含めて解明し、抗PVR抗体および免疫薬物複合体(ADC)の作出を通し、PVR標的治療や治療戦略ストラテジーの立脚を目指す。
