Outline of Research at the Start

慢性尿閉は高齢者のcommon disease であるが、特異的な症状なく萎縮膀胱や腎後性腎不全に進行し、高齢者の生活の質や生命予後を脅かすsilent killerである。病態生理は不明であり新規治療法の開発は急務である。本研究ではTrkシグナルを介した膀胱リモデリング機序やSGLT2シグナルを介した腎機能恒常性維持の可能性に着目し、慢性尿閉モデルラット（SPNC rat）を用いて慢性尿閉における膀胱、腎機能障害の病態生理を明らかにし、新規治療法の開発を目指す。
