Outline of Research at the Start	ヒト乳頭腫ウイルス（human papillomavirus, 以下HPV）は頭頸部領域の腫瘍発生に関わっている。中咽頭癌ではhigh risk型のHPV16型が、喉頭乳頭腫ではlow risk型のHPV6型、HPV11型が関わることが明らかになっているが、HPVがどのように感染状態を維持しているのかははっきりしていない。本研究では喉頭乳頭腫におけるHPVの持続感染のメカニズムを明らかにし、そこを起点としてHPV感染の予防や治療に結びつけることを目的とする。
