Outline of Research at the Start	眼表面では眼粘膜上皮である角膜上皮と結膜上皮が外界との境界となり、外的刺激から生体を保護するバリアとしての重要な任務がある。我々はtoll-like receptor(TLR) 3のリガンドであるpolyI:Cによる刺激で、このバリア機能が増強することを見出した。本研究では我々がすでに確立している独自のインビトロシステムを用いてバリア増強のメカニズムを検討する。まず、TLR3よって誘導されるⅠ型インターフェロンIFN-βの影響を検討し、その意義について考察したのち、他のサイトカインで検討する。
