Outline of Research at the Start	角膜ジストロフィは、両眼性に角膜混濁をきたす遺伝性疾患で，進行すれば視力低下により日常生活に著しく支障をきたし、失明に至る。特に数種類の角膜ジストロフィは、アジア領域の人種に有病率が高く指定難病に登録されている。本研究では、角膜ジストロフィの当施設で得られている20年を超える臨床情報、変異遺伝子についてデータベースを作成し、その疾患頻度、性別、発症年齢の差や表現型、相同遺伝子の状況別頻度、手術別の再発率などを網羅的に解析する。
