Outline of Research at the Start

”ムチン減少型ドライアイ”に、超高齢化に伴い増加する”MGD)による蒸発亢進型ドライアイ”を合併する症例の増加が予測される。人工的MGDモデルマウスを作成し角膜上皮創傷治癒過程の実質瘢痕増強での角膜知覚神経の再生、角膜血管・リンパ管新生、角膜実質切開創の治癒の３点、及びStat3阻害薬、デキサメタゾン、IL-6抗体局所投与の治療効果を、野生型マウス、Muc16欠損マウスの２群で比較検討する。MGDでのMuc16欠損の角膜障害および角膜創傷治癒への影響をあぶり出す。ムチン減少型ドライアイおよびMGD蒸発亢進型ドライアイ合併による角膜障害や角膜創傷時の病態解明、新規治療戦略提唱をする。
