Thymosin β4欠失マウス細胞内または外のThymosin b4の機能を発揮しない二系統の点突然変異を導入した遺伝子改変マウスにPVRモデルを作成し、野生型マウスと比較する。RPEのEMTでのThymosin β4の役割、ならびにその機序を明らかにし、マウスPVRモデルでのhymosin β4細胞外フラグメントAc-SDKPの眼内投与のPVR予防効果を検証する。
