Outline of Research at the Start	申請者らはこれまでに、網膜色素変性(retinitis pigmentosa; RP)患者由来のiPS細胞を網膜視細胞に分化誘導し解析する疾患iPS研究を行い、小胞体ストレスを標的とした薬剤が神経細胞である網膜視細胞の保護治療となる可能性をin vitroで提案した(Yoshida, Ozawa, Okano et al. Mol. Brain 2014)。そこで本研究では、薬剤をモデルマウスに投与し、in vivoでの網膜視細胞の変性抑制効果とそのメカニズムを解析する。組織学的、機能的、分子生物学的解析を行い、将来の臨床応用に向けた解析を行う。
