Outline of Research at the Start

健常者における皮膚の創傷は自然に治癒するが、慢性皮膚創傷では基礎疾患などの要因により治癒が遅延しており、生活の質を著しく低下させるため、慢性皮膚創傷の新規治療戦略の開発は喫緊の課題である。最近、申請者は皮膚に存在する抗菌ペプチドhBD-3が線維芽細胞を活性化し、創傷治癒を促進する可能性を報告した。創傷治癒を速やかに完結させるためには線維芽細胞の活性化に続き、表皮角化細胞の遊走と増殖による上皮化が必要であるが、その過程におけるhBD-3の役割は解明されていない。本研究では、線維芽細胞と表皮角化細胞との相互作用におけるhBD-3の役割を明らかにする。
