Outline of Research at the Start

咬合支持の喪失によって咀嚼機能が低下して認知機能が低下するメカニズムには十分には解明されていない。運動不足になると骨格筋から分泌される生理活性物質が減少して認知機能が低下すると報告された。咀嚼機能が低下すると，咀嚼筋の活動も低下する。本研究では実験動物の上顎臼歯を抜歯して咀嚼機能を低下させ，行動学的実験によって認知機能を確認すると共に，咀嚼筋から分泌される生理活性物質の発現を計測し，認知機能との関連性を検討する。
