Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では「飲み込みたい感覚」を「嚥下衝動：Urge to Swallow」と定義し，その存在および評価方法を確立することを目的としている．評価方法が確立されれば，健常者と高齢者において嚥下衝動を評価し，その結果の比較を行う予定である．嚥下衝動は上位中枢と嚥下反射のミッシングリンクを埋める可能性を秘めており，その評価方法を確立することができれば，新しい嚥下機能評価方法や誤嚥防止の訓練など，これまでにない視点からの治療オプションの開発に繋がることが期待できる．
