Outline of Research at the Start	口腔におけるがんの発生リスクを有する粘膜の臨床的状態として「口腔潜在的悪性疾患(oral potentially malignant disorders ; OPMDs)」がWHOから定義されている。早期治療により根治が可能な口腔がんは早期発見が極めて重要であり、低侵襲かつ高感度な診断マーカーで粘膜病変のがん化リスクを判別することができれば、患者のQOL向上に大きく寄与すると考える。本研究は液状化細胞診で得られた検体に対して、粘膜病変が有するエピゲノム異常をDNAメチル化の観点から検討し、口腔がんの新たなスクリーニング法の開発と臨床応用を目指す。
