Outline of Research at the Start

悪性唾液腺腫瘍は薬物療法や放射線治療への治療抵抗性が高く、肺などへの遠隔転移が多く長期予後が不良である。本申請研究では、悪性唾液腺腫瘍原発巣および転移巣切除組織からPDXモデルを樹立し、それぞれの腫瘍間あるいは腫瘍内の不均一性を考慮する上で重要な癌微小環境を再現した腫瘍モデル基盤を構築する。そこで間質に多く存在する癌内線維芽細胞 (Carcinoma-associated fibroblasts : CAFs)に注目し、転移巣に特異的な細胞集団・治療抵抗性に関与する分子機構を同定することで、これまでにない悪性唾液腺腫瘍の新規治療法の基礎を確立する。
