Outline of Research at the Start	口腔潜在的悪性疾患(oral potentially malignant disorders: OPMDs)は「臨床的に明確な前駆病変であるか正常粘膜であるかにかかわらず、口腔癌へ進展する危険性を有する臨床症状」と定義される。OPMDsの癌化メカニズムは解明されておらず、将来的に癌化するのか否か判定できない現状がある。本研究では、分子生物学的解析技術を駆使してOPMDsの癌化メカニズムを解明し、OPMDsの診断、予後の判定と治療方針の決定、治療方法の開発等、臨床へ応用することを試みる。
