Outline of Research at the Start

腺様嚢胞癌は頭頸部がんの1-2%を占める稀な唾液腺がんで、腫瘍の発育は緩慢であるが高率に肺などへの遠隔転移をおこす高悪性疾患である。2008年以降にACCのゲノム研究が劇的に拡大し、MYB/MYBL1-NFIB融合遺伝子の存在や、それ以外の遺伝子プロファイルが明らかとなってきた。本研究計画では、これまで蓄積された腫瘍組織について、遺伝子変異の検出および免疫組織化学染色による評価に基づく新たな分子クラス分類による再評価を行い、遠隔転移や予後との関連を明らかにする。また、腺様嚢胞癌細胞株およびPDXモデルの作成をすすめ、分子クラス分類ごとの最適治療薬を選出し、非臨床試験のエビデンスを蓄積する。
