Outline of Research at the Start

病理診断は形態学的診断であり、専門的な技術が要求される。本邦においてその診断の担い手たる病理医不足は深刻である。また、病理医の診断能力は必ずしも一定ではなく、能力に差があると考えられる。そのため、本研究は、病理デジタル画像を AI 開発に用いることができるようにデータベース作成を行い、口腔がん画像診断の言語モデル（LM）をもった新たな診断法の基盤モデル構築を目的とする。実際の病理医と同じ診断方法を実現するためにLMを用いることで、局所所見を総合的に判断しマクロな視点からのミクロな診断を行った上で、周辺細胞や組織反応を考慮にいれた総合的診断を行うAIモデル作成を行う。
