Keywordshead and neck cancer / lymphocytes / KPNA7 / E2F1 / c-jun
Outline of Research at the Start

This application seeks to understand the functional roles of KPNA7 amplification in HNSCC. Our hypothesis is KPNA7 promotes tumor formation and progession by enhancing importin-dependent nuclear transport of key oncogenic (E2F1, c-jun, and co-REST) transcription factors, which results in the increase of cancer cell growth, metastasis and the decrease of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes
