本研究では、口腔癌のリンパ節転移の被膜外浸潤に関与する因子をフローサイトメトリー
を用いた免疫学的アプローチにより解析し検討することで、被膜外浸潤の進展のメカニズムを細胞生物学的に明らかにするとともに、術後補助療法の適応の指標や免疫チェックポイント阻害薬の効果予測因子となるバイオマーカーを確立し個別化医療システムを構築する。具体的には1）被膜外浸潤の発症に関連する免疫学的因子の解析、２）候補分子の発現と臨床病理学的因子との相関性の解析、３）培養細胞およびマウスを用いた機能解析を行い、４）予後予測因子を確立することで、病態を踏まえた最良の治療法の選択が可能となることが期待される。
