Outline of Research at the Start	癌組織においても、骨髄由来MSCが腫瘍組織に集簇することが知られており、一部は腫瘍血管や癌関連線維芽細胞に分化し、浸潤や腫瘍の生存に寄与することが報告されている。しかし、骨時由来MSCは、数が少数であること、複雑なnicheを形成し単離が困難であることなどから採取が難しく、まだまだ癌組織における役割は不明な点が多い。「核心をなす学術的問い」：本研究課題では、骨髄由来MSCと口腔癌の転移の関係について検討を行う。特に骨髄由来MSCが関与する前転移niche形成に着目し、口腔癌転移の新たなメカニズムの解明と新規転移抑制治療の開発の足掛かりとする。
