Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の目的は顎顔面領域の神経障害性疼痛に対する肥満の影響を調べることである。最近、肥満が痛みに関わっていることが分かってきたが、疼痛が摂食行動に大きく関わる顎顔面領域での神経障害性疼痛において肥満との関連を調べた研究はこれまでにない。本研究では高脂肪食摂取による肥満ラットでの眼窩下神経結紮モデルにて、三叉神経領域の疼痛閾値の変化を観察し、脊髄路核尾側亜核でのミクログリア活性化と神経障害性疼痛に関与する炎症性サイトカインの発現、培養三叉神経細胞におけるレプチンによるnNOS発現の消長を調べる。本研究の結果が顎顔面神経障害性疼痛の有効な治療法の開発につながると考える。
