Outline of Research at the Start

がん悪液質は患者の予後やQOLに悪影響を及ぼすため、適切な対応が不可欠となるが、その治療法はいまだ確立されていない。本研究は、がん悪液質の核となる筋肉量減少とミトコンドリア機能不全の研究結果に、筋肉量減少とインスリン抵抗性の関係をつなぎ、“筋肉量減少－ミトコンドリア機能不全－インスリン抵抗性”を新たながん悪液質に対するアプローチとして、新規治療法を探索することを目的としている。
