Outline of Research at the Start

本邦では，超高齢社会を背景として，増加傾向にある摂食嚥下障害が問題となっている。摂食嚥下障害に対しては随意的に行う訓練が多く，訓練が困難な嚥下障害者や意思疎通が困難な方には有効な予防法や嚥下訓練法が確立されていない。本研究ではヒトを対象とした実験により，食道の機械刺激によって誘発される嚥下反射が，訓練が困難な方に対するアプローチとして使用できないか検証することを目的としている。
